About Us

Jenny Linnell - Cedar, our first Vizsla joined us in 2003, although I have had dogs all my life.  Cedar was my first Vizsla and at the time I had no idea where she would take me.  I had researched the breed for months beforehand and met Vizslas in our area before contacting AKC for a breeder referral list.  I was very much aware of the great stuff and the not so great stuff about the breed.  I contacted our local Vizsla rescue person to see if she could put me in touch with a great breeder in my area.  I found out from her that there were no good Vizsla breeders in Utah at the time.  She did give me contact information of breeders that were not in Utah.  That is when I first emailed the wonderful breeders of Cedar.  They were expecting a litter in Michigan and had gone through showing, hunting, obedience, and the health tests beforehand.  I was given a pretty thorough interview and had to meet with our local Vizsla rescue person and the rescue dogs before they would consider me as an owner.  I was only looking for an agility dog, but I knew going this route would get me a healthy and correct Vizsla.  Luckily for me, it was a litter of all females, which is what I wanted, and was guaranteed to get a pup.  From this beginning, I ended up showing her in the confirmation ring and then went on to achieve her Junior Hunt title.  Cedar was able to do all this with me as her very novice handler.  We have now finally started on obedience and agility.  Her breeders did a fine job of picking the "agility" girl for me.

Susan Linnell - I am Jenny's mom.  Her father and I were living in Jenny's house as ours was being built during the summer of 2003.  During that time, Jenny got Cedar.  I was instantly in love with that little dog and have to have one of my own.  I too have had dogs all my life and was excited about a new breed and trying my skills in the confirmation ring.  Mazie came to live with us in December of 2003.  We flew all the way to Texas to bring her home, because we didn't want her to go through her first plane flight all by herself.  Mazie and Cedar loved playing together, but we thought it was best to get another pup while we were still going to all the dogs shows.  This time we decided to try a male.  The first male dog any of us had owned.  Bridger came home with us from Boulder, Colorado in November of 2004 with promises of being able to teach him that the behavior male dogs get as they mature, could be controlled.  This has turned out to not be a problem at all.  Jenny showed Bridger to his show championship right after he turned 8 months old.  Bridger had superb manners in the ring and his good looks had the judges attention.  He is our dog that just loves to show and always looked forward to his turn in the ring.  I handled Bridger to 3 of his 4 hunt test qualifications.  He really knows how to find those birds.
