Breeding Philosophy
Cedarpoint Vizslas is located in Highland, Utah. We are members of the VCA and follow their code of ethics. We are a small breeder that only owns the number of dogs that can live in the house with us and be part of the family. Our goal is to produce pups that are nice examples of the Vizsla breed. This includes health, temperment, confirmation, and natural hunting ability. We are trying to keep the dual nature of the Vizsla breed that has been lost with so many other sporting breeds. Every breeding is carefully researched and planned with a goal to improve on the dogs we have with each breeding.
All Cedarpoint Vizsla puppies are vet checked, vaccinated, dewclaws removed, tails docked, and evaluated for temperment and confirmation before being placed into a new home. The puppies will be very well socialized when they go to their new homes. Puppies are sold with a signed contract and a health guarantee.
Cedarpoint Vizslas does not have many litters. It is a life-long commit to each pup we bring into the world. Our companion/pet puppies are sold on AKC limited registration with a spay/neuter contract. By 1 year of age the puppy must be spayed/neutered unless a new agreement has been arranged between the puppy buyer and the breeder of the puppy. This helps us to prevent irresponsible breeding that can produce unwanted puppies and over population of the Vizsla breed. Show quality puppies are sold to homes on a co-ownership basis. Show quality pups may not be spayed or neutered without our written consent.
We expect to stay in contact with all of the new owners throughout the life of their dog. This includes yearly pictures. We as the breeders are here to help you with your puppy and answer any questions. If the new owners cannot keep their dog, we require the dog to be returned to us.
We will not ship puppies, so plan on coming to Utah to pick up your puppy. Many airlines to allow you to take small dogs/puppies on board the airplane where they ride under your seat. The is a much better situation for a puppy and much less stressful for the puppies and us. Puppies will not be able to go to their new homes until they are 8-9 weeks old. This allows the pups to learn proper dog behavior from their mother and siblings.
